# JarvQuant

> A desktop trading simulator and training environment for retail traders. Practice
> stocks, futures, forex and options against historical and synthetic markets before
> risking real money. Windows, free tier available, offline-capable.

JarvQuant is built and maintained by one independent developer. It is not a broker,
not a signal service and not a course — it is the practice environment traders use
between those things.

## What it does

- **Market Replay** — step through 10 years of included market history bar by bar, or
  load your own data (CSV, Parquet, MetaTrader 5). No hindsight: you only see what a
  trader would have seen at that moment.
- **PANTHEON (Syndex)** — a synthetic options market with a full chain, Greeks, implied
  volatility surface and order book. Practise calls, puts, spreads, straddles, condors
  and assignment mechanics without paying real premium.
- **Prop Firm Simulator** — rehearse evaluation rules (drawdown limits, daily loss caps)
  so a funded-account challenge isn't the first time you meet them.
- **Trade Autopsy** — algorithmic review of your own trading: win rate, R-multiples,
  drawdown, overtrading days, revenge-trading windows, within-day drift.
- **Trade Journal** — searchable entries linked to actual performance metrics.
- **Strategy Builder** — build entry, filter and exit rules as blocks and backtest them.
- **Grand Archive** — 364 reference entries, including 64 dedicated options entries
  covering everything from calls and puts to Greeks, IV crush and multi-leg strategies.
- **VANTA** — an optional AI coach that reviews your trading and can reference the
  archive. Runs on the user's own API key, or fully local via Ollama.

## Who it is for

Retail traders who want deliberate practice rather than more tips: people preparing for
a prop-firm evaluation, learning options mechanics safely, or trying to find out why
their live results differ from their backtests.

## Platform

Windows desktop application (PySide6). Installer and portable build published on
GitHub Releases. Every release is scanned on VirusTotal and the result is linked
publicly from the download page. The app is currently unsigned; a code-signing
certificate is planned.
